MY FIRST EVER WELLNESS EVENT

I ran my first ever event!

Wowee. After having the idea of running an event at the start of the year, I decided to dive straight in and get it done. I could have spent months researching and educating myself, studying event planning etc etc. Or instead, I could just run one and learn on the fly… And that’s what I did.

I made plenty of mistakes. There is a lot of room for improvement. And I didn’t really make a profit.

Was it worth it?

Absolutely!

I told myself, when I first decided I was going to run the event, that even if I make a loss I need to focus on the process, on my growth, and on building my brand. So, as I fumbled my way through planning for the event, I was constantly learning, constantly stepping outside my comfort zone, and constantly growing. I spoke to a few people along the way, seeking advice on various parts of running an event, and had a lot of help from those around me. I can’t thank those people enough for their support, guidance, and excitement.

And in the end, I am stoked with how the event turned out.

We kicked things off by setting some intentions for the day, then moved into a yoga flow which finished with a beautiful meditation. I then took the group through a mindset workshop, delving into limiting beliefs and how we can break them down. After a lunch break we finished the day by getting way out of our comfort zone through eye-gazing, a guided breathwork, and an ice bath.

I have had some amazing feedback, some very constructive, and a lot of really positive comments.

I am now analysing and assessing the event, and working on creating an even better event which I will bring to you soon.

If there is something you really want to do, but you’re being held back by nothing other than negative thoughts, bite the bullet and dive in. The best way to learn is by doing.
